Rihanna’s edgy persona mixed with Wale’s hit single “Bad”- an anthem for all the rolling stones out there that just cant seem to get the monogamy thing right, seems like the perfect cocktail for a dope remix. The song comes from his last mixtape Folarin and was originally sung by a diamond in the rough- Tiara Thomas. I’ll give it to RiRi she did her thing BUT man oh man it is hard to fill Tiara Thoma’s shoes for that hook. Tiara put her FOOT into the original version, and I can’t help but be slanted to Ms. Thomas. That raspy rough voice on the track gets me every time. Which version do you like better?
Excited to see Wale’s 3rd installment The Gifted dropping June 25th.
Here is a new track just released Lupe and Ross add a nice touch to the melodic joint. (Even though this track isn’t on the album)
Let us know what you think.
MMG’s lyricist, Wale is continuing to strike iron while its hot by releasing another single off of his ‘Folarin’ mixtape. I wonder how many more videos he will peel off of this album. I personally have a couple tracks in particular I hope he pushes, but I’ll save those for later. Fresh of the press here is the ‘Street Runner’ video.
MMG artist Wale’s mixtape Folarin turned a lot of heads and now the stand out track “Bad” ft. Tiara Thomas has an official lyric videos. This one definitely needed one because the writing was amazing…especially that money hook sung by Ms. Thomas. Check it out.
Wale has been on his grind lately, he’s been releasing content like crazy. Riding high from the success of his album release and Folarin mixtape, he looks forward to keep his momentum going. Check out the video below, let us know what you think.
