Rae Sremmurd is back with another Nicki Minaj-assisted track “Throw Sum” also featuring Young Thug. The single comes from the Mississippi duo’s upcoming album Sremm Life out January 6th, 2014.
ATL rapper Rome Fortune has been buzzing under the radar with mixtapes and collaborations with ILOVEMAKKONEN and OG Maco. His latest single “Juice”, produced by Childish Major, is probably one of my favorites by him in a while. Check it out.
From Hype Trak:
Los Angeles rapper Bones is back with another new mixtape entitled Rotten. Bones is constantly coming out withh new mixtapes at a Gucci Mane-esque pace, each new full-length asserting and evolving his lo-fi, murky aesthetic. His latest, Rotten, is his twelfth full-length in just two years and while the music appears to remain the same outside of a few tweaks and twists, his style and sound have yet to grow tired. If anything — judging by the SoundCloud listens amassed in just 48 hours — the demand for anything Bones-related is becoming higher and higher.
On Rotten, Bones’ baritone graveyard growl continues to sound submerged in a benzo-and-opiate-induced state, though he is experimenting more and more with slumped, hazy AutoTune-coated melodies similar to Chief Keef’s past syrup-supplemented experiments. As always, acoustic numbers and songs that sort of sound like 90’s pop-punk balladry are included to mix it up a bit, and Bones’ list of producers pretty much remains the same. The project runs 17 tracks, but much of the song-lengths are kept relatively short. You can check out Rotten below.
Ty Dolla Sign whose most notable work was his co-written credit’s on Chris Brown’s smash single “Loyal”, is back with a new single “Stand For”. He puts a eclectic spin on this song by having Diplo and DJ Dahi on production. The track will be on Dolla Sign’s upcoming album Free TC. Dolla sign also has quite a few projects under his belt already that include is Beach House mixtape series and EP, along with his latest mixtape Sign Language.
Free TC is out everywhere November 17th, 2014.
While we’re waiting on ASAP Ferg’s upcoming album, Ferg Forever, he drops a YG assisted track called “This Side”. Ferg did his thing, but we’ve got to give credit to Danny Seth who originally laid bars on this beat. The British accent is usually hard to match with such a gritty beat, but Danny pulled it off. Check out both versions below.
Fresh off his mixtape, $ign Language, Ty Dolla $ign recruits Bay area rapper, IAMSU, for his latest track “Lies and Dreams”. We’re not sure if this cut will make his upcoming album Free TC, but at least $ign released it. He was just recently featured on The Weeknd’s latest “King of the Fall” remix. You can stream both of them below.
