California rapper, Justin Wallace, has been a fan favorite of mine for a few years now. He released his debut album The Boy Who Could Fly last year, and is now in the works of releasing a new project soon. Wallace’s first album was an introduction into who he is, and this album shows his journey as an artist as it unfolds. He recently released video for his single “Lawry’s”. We were able to get a few words from Justin’s agency, Hence management, and their take on the meaning behind it:
The video concept has two stories to it. The first is a woman refusing to let go of Justin due to him wanting to move on to bigger things and she becomes obsessed to the point of trying to murder him. The second is the tunnel representing him being stuck at a point of his life and him finally leaving to progress in his future (which is the car leaving the tunnel at the very end of the video.) It is symbolic of Justin leaving negative people, energy, habits, and thoughts in order to move forward.
No word yet on a release date for the album, but we’ll keep you updated.
