From Hype Trak:
Los Angeles rapper Bones is back with another new mixtape entitled Rotten. Bones is constantly coming out withh new mixtapes at a Gucci Mane-esque pace, each new full-length asserting and evolving his lo-fi, murky aesthetic. His latest, Rotten, is his twelfth full-length in just two years and while the music appears to remain the same outside of a few tweaks and twists, his style and sound have yet to grow tired. If anything — judging by the SoundCloud listens amassed in just 48 hours — the demand for anything Bones-related is becoming higher and higher.
On Rotten, Bones’ baritone graveyard growl continues to sound submerged in a benzo-and-opiate-induced state, though he is experimenting more and more with slumped, hazy AutoTune-coated melodies similar to Chief Keef’s past syrup-supplemented experiments. As always, acoustic numbers and songs that sort of sound like 90’s pop-punk balladry are included to mix it up a bit, and Bones’ list of producers pretty much remains the same. The project runs 17 tracks, but much of the song-lengths are kept relatively short. You can check out Rotten below.
Up and coming Toronto R&B artist, PARTYNEXTDOOR, has been on a great run for the past two years. He released a well received self-titled mixtape in 2013, a follow up mixtape called PND2, and sold out 2014 tour. If you missed him this year, all is not lost. Party just announced a 2015 world tour called “PND Live” and four new songs that you can download below. Two of the tracks feature Cash Out and Travis Scott.
Frank Ocean breaks a long silence after his 2012 release Channel Orange, with what seems to be a demo track called “Memrise”. Check it out. What do you think?
Frank Ocean – Memrise (Lyrics)
I memorized the wayward expressions
Never look down
Never let you see me down
I memorized the way no directions
Can I come over now
I’d like to stay a little while
I memorized your body exposed
I could f*ck you all night long
From a memory alone
I never forget a face
Don’t go plastic on me
Nothing’s set in stone
You’re not dipped in gold
Dipped in gold
You can’t breathe if you’re dipped in gold
You are not on paper
You are not a copy
You’re so, you’re so..so thick, so thick

From Hype Trak:
Producer and multi-instrumentalist Johnny Jewel of Chromatics has just liberated this mesmerizing, unreleased gem entitled “White Light.” This softly whispering piece features reminiscing vocals over this dreamy soundscape that’ll have you completely dazed by its beauty. Although it’s been over two years since the group released their highly-praised Kill For Love LP, songs such as “White Light” and others unveiled through Johnny’s SoundCloud are definitely doing their job in helping alleviate the pain from this drought.
Last week probably marks the first time in U.S. History that Charlamagne Tha God did not talk shit to a guest on Power 105’s Breakfast Club. Timbaland came through to visit to promote his upcoming artists Tink. Tim released a track called “Around The Clock” that featured Tha God himself and mentioned that this is probably one of the best albums he’s produced since Aaliyah’s One In A Million. Those are some pretty big shoes to fill but if you’ve been following Tink like I have, I believe she actually has a shot.
Last month Colombian singer hailing from Virginia, Kali Uchis, released a video for her reggae-infused single “Know What I Want”. The track comes from her upcoming album Por Vida.
